Inspired #4: Reclaimed Wood

Inspired is a collection of how-to posts found around the web that are sure to get those creative juices flowing! In this edition, we're focusing on projects that beautifully utilize reclaimed wood! Click on each picture to visit its tutorial.

I'm so very much in love with these buttons made by Lindsay of Shrimp Salad Circus! If I ever get the tools to do this, I'll be making wooden buttons nonstop:

This beautiful porch swing by Sheryl of Sheryl Salisbury Photography was created from an old pallet. She also includes a FAQ section, in case this project gives you a bit of trouble!

This craft organizer shelf made from a reclaimed pallet is just perfect! Johnnie of Saved By Love Creations shows how to attach hooks, shelves, and compartments to store all of your tools in one place. This would be so helpful in a teeny tiny craft space!

Perhaps you're looking to get organized, but are living in an apartment or rental property and don't have the opportunity to go around hanging shelves and whatnot. This kitchen organizer made by Jamie of C.R.A.F.T. utilizes an old door to maximize vertical storage without damaging any walls!

If you're looking for even more amazing reclaimed wood and pallet projects, check out this huge compilation of links over on Funky Junk Interiors! Donna features so many lovely reclaimed wood projects that she's made herself, but at the bottom of the post you'll find three link-up parties, one of which is chock-full of even more reclaimed wood & pallet projects.

I hope I've inspired you to tackle some wood-reclaiming projects this weekend! Best of luck and thanks for reading!
